Position Overview:

The Center for Christian Statesmanship (CCS) is seeking a mission-driven, highly organized
Operations & Discipleship Coordinator to support and grow our ministry to Christian
leaders on Capitol Hill. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a heart for discipleship,
strong administrative abilities, and a gift for relationship-building. This position collaborates
closely with CCS ambassadors, the board chair, strategic advisors, and ministry partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ministry Operations & Logistics
    • Oversee daily operations at the CCS House, including calendar management, hospitality, and facility upkeep.
    • Support planning and execution of key events, including:
      • Politics & Principles Luncheons (monthly)
      • Equip America evangelism trainings (biannually)
      • Distinguished Christian Statesman Award Dinner (annually)
      • Receptions tied to holidays and major DC events
    • Coordinate with vendors, caterers, and volunteers as needed.
    • Manage inventory of printed materials, Bibles, and hospitality supplied.
  2. Discipleship Coordination & Ministry Support
    • Assist in planning and hosting weekly Bible studies, particularly:
      • Summer intern discipleship group
      • Department-specific Bible studies (Ag, HUD, Ed)
    • Maintain ongoing communication with Bible study participants and ministry partners.
    • Organize cabinet Bible deliveries and follow-up correspondence.
    • Provide logistical and relational support to soul care sessions.
  3. Engagement & Outreach
    • Build and maintain relationships with local pastors and churches through regular lunches and outreach.
    • Work with leadership to engage new ministry contacts, congressional staff, and Hill offices in conjunction with CCS ambassadors to the Hill.
    • Help grow and steward the Hill contact database for targeted communications and invitations.
  4. Communications
    • Contribute on-the-ground perspectives to the digital engagement team.
    • Aid in gathering and writing content for weekly email devotionals and/or ministry updates to the CCS local-database.

Qualifications:

  • A mature, growing Christian with a strong personal faith and commitment to Gospel-centered ministry.
  • Experience in operations, ministry coordination, or nonprofit work preferred.
  • Strong logistic/administrative skills.
  • Comfortable networking and building relationships with pastors, leaders, and political staffers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly relational, ministry-minded environment.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail and a flexible, servant-hearted attitude.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in ministry, public administration, political science, or related field.
  • Experience in Capitol Hill or political environments a plus.
  • Knowledge of email platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact a bonus.
